The release

Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident where two teenagers were stabbed in Cranbourne last night.

Two male victims got out of a car on the corner of Banyalla Drive and Burgan Court about 7.25pm.

It is understood they were chased along Burgan Court by two male offenders with machetes following a verbal altercation.

A 17-year-old boy sustained a stab wound and managed to run back to the vehicle, which continued a short distance to Camms Road.

Members of the public assisted him until emergency services arrived.

The other victim, a 15-year-old boy, was located with serious injuries further down Camms Road.

They were both taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating whether the parties are known to each other.

No arrests have been made at this stage, and the investigation is ongoing.
