The release

Around 2:20pm this afternoon, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received numerous calls of a large disturbance at a shopping centre in Coconut Grove.

The incident is understood to have began when a 38-year-old female was directed to leave after previously being issued a trespass notice.

She allegedly spat at and slapped a security guard and a 43-year-old female assaulted another security guard and the centre’s cleaner.

Both females continued with disorderly behaviour before multiple police units responded and arrested them. They are expected to be charged with various offences.

An additional two males and a female were also arrested at the scene, and later released with infringement notices for Disorderly Behaviour.
